Realistic Drawings, and or drawings that I just wanted to comment on.

^This picture was made because I got board in art class. I don't usually draw still life so this turned out rather good.

^Well this picture was my very first attempt to copy a person, in all of its lifeness. The end result was... well uncompleted.
But I decided to put it in here, to give you an idea on how I draw, and what I saw as wrong.

^This picture is still very much in progress, so I will get it done. Anyway, here you can see my reference sketch, and the begining of the actual drawing, I'm starting with the eyes because they are awkward, the angle is at a slant and the eye lashes cover her eyes in an uneven way. The orginal drawing looked too cartoony so this is the 2nd attempt.



^In the first one you could see her hair better, in this one you can see the concept sketch, or really reference lines to what im drawing. But in the end, I just felt that the angle of her head, and the darkness and over all consistency of her hair was wrong. ^This is the picture of what it looks like right now. (Dec. 30 2003) Its turning out to be a very amazing picture. Ive finished her eyes have worked down her neck, and to her breasts. The necklace she wears was a bit hard, but not too hard, and now I'm working on her hair, and clothing, (All the black parts) Ive been researching methods of drawing hair, and will soon apply them. The clothing will be easy.

<This picture to the left is featured on the front of the site. Its my hand with a book that wasn't there. It was a project for art, draw a still life (book) and incorperate life (hand) into it. This is an Ironic picture because it shows a drawing of a hand, while it holds a book on how to draw hands, it's also a bit surreal because of the picture looking like it's on paper and coming off the book.

< The first picture of the highlander is the actual drawing. Ive drawn this for a School T shirt, and hopefully it got picked, (I was really the only one who submitted somthing). And the final COLOR :O (I dont color that often, was that original picture, but runned through stream line, and colorized in Illistartor, the end product looked profesional. :)

This is a scaned version of the actual picture. What was wrong was that it was a painting, so making a life like drawing in pencil, from a painting it a bit beyond hard, you can't really tell what's smooth, and where lines are.

I saw this picture of the amazing Jonny Knoxville in a magazine in art class, mind you thats where pretty much all my drawings come from,(Too many video games at home) so i started with the face, and really thats all that i was interested in. I captured his emotion in his face, but as you can see really didn't care too much for the body. So the end product is good, but could have been alot better. That's not to say i don't like it though. :)

^And yep you guessed it this sit the actual pictureing im taking it from. In the begining I was debateing a bit whether or not I should include her hand and arm. The problem was that her arm would look like it was going INTO her head, not good. But if I just had her hand then the picture would be unbalanced. So I just decided to include those features.
